As a buyer’s agent, I see a myriad of properties every week. But no matter how many luxury lake front or decorator’s showcase houses you see, there are still always unique homes that stand out with special features or picturesque settings that take you by surprise.
Such was the case with a place on Huntley Ave. in Coeur d’Alene; replete with custom interior finishes that seem to be an homage to a woodland fairytale castle. A built-in 20ft long dining table makes you want to call for a yard of mead, while the tree trunk pillars in the great room make you think Rapunzel will let down her hair from the balcony.

My personal favorite was of course the wood suspension bridge that led to a hideout for children. Like a dream, it was not surprising that this bank owned home sold quickly after I viewed it.

Another gem I happened upon recently was up a mountainside off of Signal Point Rd. just south of Post Falls. Sitting on over 5 acres of very private land this home has a view of untamed wilderness that has to be seen with one’s own eyes to truly appreciate.

The 3100 sq ft house is setup nicely with lots of his and hers amenities and spectacular south facing views throughout. The cozy fire pit is an especially appealing feature for early evening gatherings.
