Nosworthy’s Hall of Fame is directly across from the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Government Way. It is a very popular local establishment that boasts just about the biggest hamburger known to the human race.
One of the downfalls of Nosworthy’s for breakfast is that they don’t open until 8am. Since most people I know tend to work 8am-5pm . . . this doesn’t work for grabbing a bite of breakfast before heading into the office. But, as I said in my introduction post to this quest, I can eat omelets at any meal so that’s exactly what I did. I had a Nosworthy’s omelet for lunch, on my birthday no less.
I have been told that Nosworthy’s basically has the best omelets in Kootenai County. I put them to the test. First off, the variety of omelets was great! Unique ones, standard ones, customizable, etc. The fact that several of the omelets had avocado’s and sour cream listed as an ingredient was a huge plus. In some places I’ve had to ask for both and <gulp> in some places, they don’t have avocado’s!!
The ingredients were big chunks of meat and lots of cheesy goodness. It was a delicious omelet. Just look at the size of that bacon and sausage. Definitely no chintzing here. The eggs were nice and whipped, perhaps slightly too done as evidenced by that little patch of brown on the right side of the omelet but that did not diminish the taste in anyway.
It was very tasty. I especially loved the sizes and amount of the ingredients. Yet again I forgot to go ahead and include the hashbrowns, toast and biscuits for my ever ravenous teenage sons. Oh well, live and learn!
Nosworthy’s is a strong top contender.
Where have I eaten and reviewed so far?
